Daniel Hobbs
Hello and welcome to my page. I’m Daniel and I live in West Sussex. I’ve spent most of my life living around the south east of England.
Growing my knowledge is something I’m always doing. Whether it’s podcasts or trawling the web for answers in different subjects. I’m also into wellbeing, ice baths, mindset and physical exercise which gives me a good balance between my busy work life and my family. You’ll often see me running through woods and fields no matter the weather. The muddier the better.
Swimming was my original sport where I made county championships when I was 15 years old. I don’t swim competitively anymore but love getting into the water when I can.
Passions
I’ve always had a passion for technology from a teenager right up to the present day. From building my first ever gaming PC out of an old Olivetti Server to living off grid using solar and battery storage technology. All of it interests me.
Cars and Motorbikes were my other passion when I was younger. However, having children soon put a stop to that. The Sensible hat was required!
I also like to help grassroots football teams with sponsorship so that they can get some decent kit for the new season. I’m often on the side lines cheering them on or getting roped into running the line. I’ve even been known to referee on the odd occasion, but I wouldn’t recommend it as my sons hate it when I do!
Travel
I’ve travelled a fair bit in Europe and some further afield holiday locations like the Maldives, Australia and Florida. A sunny holiday is preferred but I’ve been known to frequent the ski slopes as well.
Business
I’ve been involved in numerous businesses over a 28 year life cycle where I’ve seen significant growth. From starting my first job as a tea boy in a technical company, to owning my own business. I’ve been part of every aspect of running a business and seen it all during my career, which is great for understanding how it all works. It’s all about the People!
